Lisa and I needed a mini-vacation, so we headed up to Fort Collins to explore our old stomping grounds, then headed about an hour and a half east to Pawnee Buttes out in the Pawnee National Grasslands. Our trip coincided with the first day of the High Park fire near Fort Collins (hence all the smoke in the air) which made for some interesting pics out on the high plain. Other than a run in with a vicious gang of car-licking cows, it was a nice anti-mountain getaway!
