Oslo, Bergen, and Stuttgart

Bookending our Norwegian hike were visits to Oslo and Bergen. Oslo was a very practical capital with lots of public art and beautiful surroundings. Bergen, located on the western coast and protected from the North Sea by just a few small islands, was more quaint - and WAY more touristy kitch. Both cities offered some fun exploration and lots to see. After Bergen, we flew to Stuttgart, Germany to see my parents. We took a trip up to Bacharach (basically the middle Rhine river area) to bike and cruise the Rhine a bit (nothing like a Davis Family Bike ride!). Lisa and I also explored the vineyards of Stuttgart, enjoying some fantastic local Riesling and Trollinger.
