Lisa, Noah, and I decided to hike to Rogers Pass Lake below James Peak (in the Indian Peaks area of Colorado) this past weekend - unfortunately, it turns out that the trail was impassable due to heavy snow still on the ground (in July?!? at 10,000 ft?!?) and due to down trees on the trail (or at least where we thought the trail was, which we completely lost due to the snow). So we backtracked and went to the nearby Crater Lakes in the same valley instead. The lakes still had about 5 feet of snow along the shores, but it was a nice hike.
