After hemming and hawing about backcountry skiing for quite some time now, Lisa and I decided to finally give it a try. We enlisted the help of our friend Witt Sparks (an experienced backcountry skier) to take us out. We hiked up about 3.5 miles into Mayflower Gulch (back behind Copper Mountain and Breckenridge ski areas), and got some turns in the trees. We may just have to do this more often!
