Every year in May, Shari Post organizes a group of folks to head up to A-Basin to enjoy one last day of skiing. Ideally, the weather should be sunny and around 50-60 degrees to enjoy the wonderful joy of spring skiing in Colorado. However, Colorado is an unpredictable state. So, instead, we skiied in 20 degree weather with heavy snow (and VERY icy slopes). After the skiing, of course, we return to the parking area (known as "The Beach") and absolutely refused to admit defeat by the weather - so we cranked Jimmy Buffet and drank our Pina Coladas....in the snow.
