On a beautiful "winter" day in Colorado, we hiked up and out of Aspen 6.3 miles and 2,000 feet up to McNamara Hut - perched northeast of the town in between Benedict and Margy's Huts. The weather cooperated nicely, with temps nearly in the 60s for the hike in. As always, we ate extremely well with Chicken Parmesan, Pork Lo Mein, Pancakges, Sausage, and Green Eggs (in honor of St. Patrick's Day). We hiked out to the nearby Bald Knob on our off day to explore the stormy weather, and hiked out on 3 inches of freshly fallen snow.
