Washington D.C.

I had to travel out to the DC area to give a presentation on Wednesday. The presentation went very well, and I had some time to kill afterwards so I decided to catch the Metro into the heart of Washington DC. I hadn't really been in the city since my sister-in-law's graduation in 2003, so it was fun to go back. I was in dress shoes (i.e. not comfortable to walk in) which shortened my exploration a bit, but I strolled from the Washington Monument to the Lincoln Memorial to the Jefferson Memorial and back while occasionally spotting the President's motorcade as he headed to the capitol building for his healthcare speech that night. The weather was pleasant and cool, the tourists were mostly gone, so I just enjoyed myself and my little Sony camera... enjoy the pics!
