Sangree M. Froelicher Hut sits at 11,650 feet - just below treeline north of Highway 91 and east of Highway 24 (within the Copper Triangle). The hike in was a short 3 mile journey, but it still climbed 1,500 feet up which meant it was a workout. We had a great crew of hutmates for this trip which, combined with 8 inches of fresh snow for the ski out and a drone to take arial photos, made for a wonderful trip!
